Second volume of the Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of la Mancha written by the Graduated Alonso Fernández de Avellaneda, born on the Villa de Tordesillas.
Despite of the inherent importance for the literature’s history and the singularity of his editorial trajectory, no one till now had offered before to the readers, collectors or even to the simple curious, a facsimile edition of the Second volume of the ingenious gentleman don Quixote of la Mancha, in which his third voyage is included: and constitutes the fifth part of his adventures, printed in Tarragona by Felipe Roberto in 1614 in behalf of the graduated Alonso Fernandéz de Avellaneda, born on the Villa de Tordesillas. We are obviously referring to the apocryphal Quixote that got in the way of The ingenious gentleman don Quixote of la Mancha, published by Miguel de Cervantes in 1605, and his second part, The ingenious gentleman don Quixote of la Mancha, that would be published ten years after.
