The study of the parchment indicating the Foundation of the Traders Guild of Tàrrega of April 7 1269, stored in the parchment collection at the Royal Chancellery of the Archive of the Crown of Aragon in Barcelona, based on an analysis of the historic, documentary and iconographic context of the parchment, concludes that it is one of the first documentary examples reflecting the use of the written Catalan language in the Royal Chancellery of the 13th century, a result of the linguistic promotion by King Jaume I, and the exceptional fact of the presence of female guild members.
The miniature that presides over the document dedicated to Our Lady of Milk is also significant, along with the presence of the archangels St. Raphael, St. Michael, St. Gabriel and the surprising figure of the archangel St. Uriel.
